BreakingDown the Key Parts of Matthew 7:6. #1 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.”. Both dogs and pigs are unclean animals. The symbolism, though it sounds harsh, is that the people who have rejected God and his people are not sacred and not clean. #2 “if you do, they may trample them under their feet,”.

DaTy. PHOTO mm2 EntertainmentSINGAPORE — A film about a director who's making a film may sound a tad indulgent, but that's the basic premise of Warning Do Not Play. Of course, it features a director who's painfully hipster in appearance, who seems like an idealised projection of the writer-director of Warning Do Not Play. With a premise that sounds more suited for an art film than a horror film although it could be both, the movie promises much but delivers something else mm2 EntertainmentThe film centres on struggling director Mi-Jung Seo Yea-Ji who learns of a legendary horror film and goes on a quest to unearth it and find the director of that film, who seems to have gone insane. However, she finds out that there may be some truth in his incoherent ramblings, and finds herself getting pulled into circumstances that led to the creation of the horror mm2 EntertainmentBeing a horror movie affords the chance for interesting and metaphorical visuals, which the film has in spades. It's an interesting bit of artistry, especially when the story goes off on a figurative tangent and blurs the line between reality and the imagination of the characters. The visuals are enjoyable, but the story gets lost in the process. The film can get very disjointed at times, especially when it comes to the horror mm2 EntertainmentHowever, the horror scenes are relatively limited, being left mainly for the third act and to open the film. The bulk of the movie is actually a mystery, one in which Mi-Jung solves sort of by finding the creator of the film she's been looking for. It's probably better categorised as a mystery rather than as horror, given that you're not really that scared for most of the mm2 EntertainmentMain character Mi-Jung looks unlike any director you've ever seen which is good, but bears all the mannerisms and neuroticisms of one which isn't. Perhaps that's why in the story, she projects herself into a character in the film that she's making, as her friend points out. Ironically, it seems like exactly what the actual director of Warning Do Not Play did with Mi-Jung, which makes it a rather meta reference to be had. Then you have the two fictional films in the movie itself — the one that Mi-Jung is looking for, and the one that she creates, Both of them are titled Warning Do Not Play, in a very circular, self-referential bit of mm2 EntertainmentYou do empathise with Mi-Jung over time though, partly due to her portrayal as a nervous wreck who has great faith in her vision for a movie, but isn't quite sure what that vision is. She's a difficult character to play, but Seo Yea-Ji manages to pull it off and express the different facets of her character over the course of the movie. Mi-Jung's misplaced faith also mirrors the direction of Warning Do Not Play itself — you can't quite shake the fact that the overall direction of the movie is murky, at mm2 EntertainmentDespite its short runtime, there are some very lengthy, sleep-inducing scenes which could have been trimmed for time. These differ from the talking heads scenes, which do discuss some fairly intriguing topics. But as a movie that borders on arthouse, it's inevitable that some indulgent scenes would have creeped their way in — which they mm2 EntertainmentWarning Do Not Play is more of a mystery movie than anything else, with some horror elements. It can be a little interesting thanks to its more artistic bent, but it loses its direction trying to be meta at times. By being arthouse, it becomes confusing, which isn't the best thing for a horror movie to you watch this at weekday movie ticket prices? you watch this at weekend movie ticket prices? time 86 minSecret ending? It was very good! I am a sucker for a movie about a lost horror movie! First half is awesome. The last half gets a little muddled for the storyline but is still good and seems to straighten out by the end. The movie is in subtitles. Give it a try. For Korean horror, this feels a little standard and normal. I usually love Korean horror as a reprieve from safer American horror. That said, I still found it an interesting experience with a few scary moments and some nice commentary towards the end on the power and effects of film. The lead performance lifted the movie as well. I can understand others saying it's uneven and disjointed, but there was still a charm to it that pulled me in Warning do not play - Shudder originalSpoken language KoreanSeated in an darkened auditorium, several students are nearby. We are watching a screening of a movie. I see the last glimpse of the blue chairs in the auditorium sitting area before my eyes close. I couldn't have been asleep for more than a couple of minutes. As I come to, everyone has exited the screening. I'm all alone and it's pitch black. I locate my phone and turn on the flashlight 🔦.I look around me, getting orientated. I adjust my glasses and run my fingers through my shoulder length black a flashlight in hand, I walk towards the exit to the auditorium. I am unable to… There are a lot of elements to this that I liked. I love stuff about cursed/haunted films total aside if you also dig stuff like that, I highly highly recommend the novel Night Film by Marisha Pessl, and there are some pretty creepy moments. Good use of lighting and atmosphere as pacing is just all over the place though. It felt super long even though it's only 85 minutes, and I found myself getting kind of bored more than once. The plot seemed too convoluted to me, but I confess that my mind was wandering a bit due to the boredom so it's possible I just wasn't paying enough has its moments, but unless you're a die hard K-horror fan I can't give it a very strong recommendation. It was well over a decade ago that I sought out Kim Jin-won's debut film, The Butcher. It had a small cult reputation for its brutality that intrigued me, and I managed to find it on DVD after a bit of searching at a convention I believe. I hated the film completely, but I also don't want to linger on that too much right feels very worth mentioning though, as this, his follow up feature so many years later, bears a lot of resemblance to the situation that the director seems to be in as an outsider looking at these films and the gap between them, with little to go on in regards to what Kim has been… Pretty disjointed. Kind of confusing. Moderately spooky. It's fine. also my advice on whether or not you should ever watch this on Shudder...For awhile now I have had this in my queue on that particular streaming service. One day I stumbled upon its title, laughed, saw it was a Korean picture, and was dumbstruck when I saw that the plot description mentioned something about a film MADE BY A GHOST. How could I not see a movie w/ such a plot point? I've seen some praise this... I wish my opinion matched theirs. It will be explained why I encourage those who see this on Shudder do NOT press “Play”, watch something else story follows a young filmmaker who is in the horror genre and… Always loooooved the idea of cursed / haunted films - this has a good enough premise and some effective scares they're hit or miss and the ghost starts showing up too much to remain scary for me, but some of those early ones, particularly in Mi-jung's apartment worked well imo. I just can't help feeling a little underwhelmed by the script and the eventual direction this ended up. It's a fine, light, breezy watch, but nothing spectacular. Kinda would have preferred to just watch the actual footage "shot by a ghost" instead as a feature-length. Mi-jung an excellent Seo Yea-ji is a young, bespectacled filmmaker who becomes obsessed with finding an obscure student horror film that may or may not have been made by a ghost. Her search leads her to the reclusive director Kim Jae-hyun a broken and intense Jin Seon-kyu and a copy of the elusive film. When she finally watches it, strange things begin to happen and it becomes difficult to tell what is real and what is is a really cool film that I haven’t quite wrapped my mind around yet. If you like films about making horror films, you’ll probably have a good time. I was expecting a haunted tape, which this has, but it’s got more in… My streak of competent horror couldn't last forever...Warning Do Not Watch isn't exactly incompetent if a little incoherent. An adaptation of The Ring, Warning contemplates a young, aspiring director looking for inspiration to make a horror film. She hears a rumor about a VHS tape that kills people yatta yatta yatta...she finds the movie, it's evil and ghosts attack. What kills me about Warning is the potential of the ideas namely, the director's past trauma in the first act and the time overlap suggestions of the third act. Many people enjoy horror film because it repurposes trauma as something approachable and entertaining. Although hinted at in the beginning, Warning's emphasis on the why of genre peters as genre cliche…
I enjoyed this film for the most part. It has very good atmosphere, acting, and cinematography. Overall, the story holds your attention & feels pretty creepy throughout. However, the latter part of the movie gets a bit muddled, which makes the conclusion feel a bit confusing at first. Still, it’s film-within-a-film setup is interesting and I’d say it’s definitely worth a watch. Perfect for a rainy day. Entertaining abliet light on scares. Stylistically harkens back to the j horror boom of early 2000s. Unfortunately drops the ball in its rambling, incoherent 3rd act. Not enough investigating the mystery, too much vague haunting and ghost murder. I think it’s got good bones, but in the end it didn’t really do it for me. if you’re going to go into found footage go all the way!!!! cowards!! A fun movie about a lost horror movie with some good creepiness. The first half is really spooky getting into the mystery, but once things hit the fan it lost me a little. Still, not a bad watch. While I did like this film more than I disliked it, it was very close. It had some cool gore and a few genuinely creepy sequences. But like... it didn't make a whole lot of sense and in its efforts to be clever or meta it ends up eating its own tail and choking on it a little bit. Does that make any sense at all? I dunno, it's like 3am right now. Anyway; the characters are somewhat interesting and… Warning Do Not Play is just the another average Korean horror film, but good average one. I thought its gonna be silly and stupid execution but the amount of suspense there is not that bad. I liked that this one is not just a horror movie with tsunami of jumpscares but to think about the story plot is easy to catch, but also not cheap. This is also quite brutal, I adored it. Audience Score 🍅 60% The actress is pretty that's really the only positive thing about this movie. Girlbossed her way to fame and fortune. Who am I to judge
